School of Ed

SOE site is up - setup is done.  Lessonshare server didn't like secure server - using pub cookie module now and it is working fine

10 new students added to the site and have logged in.  New group is getting going.  Meeting in a week or so.

AT instance of LessonShare has been removed and will be deleted.

Ongoing support need:  Is there a need to have a LessonShare model for others to look it?  If so, where would it live?

Long term needs for SoE:  They will continue to look to see where  it make sense to promote it  / how to talk about it to the rest of the school.

Elementary Ed right now.  Currently redesigning their program.  See LessonShare as a tool that can help with continuity.

SoE should have the necessary technical infrastructure in place, but some future problems may still be resolved.  Chris and crew should look to the group to help brainstorm solutions

Chemistry

Chemistry - having some installation issues -- authentication issues with secure site -- using LDAP authentication

What is the support mechanism for support issues ?  Listserv? Make sure Eric is on the list edunning@chem.wisc.edu

Community Needs

Discussed the idea of using the listserv (lessonshare@lists.wisc.edu) as a community support model.  We can email one another to share solutions and ask questions.

Current ListServ Users:
See the group supporting technical / installation needs more and user needs less -- at least for now.

Future development and upgrades should be shared with the group, but users should feel free to remain on whatever version they wish. There is no need to have / no way to ensure that we all have the same implementation.

The wiki (https://wiki.doit.wisc.edu/confluence/display/ltdeprojects/LessonShare)  can be used as a place to document issues and configurations.  Please use it by logging on using your NetID (Alan and Erik, i've requested accounts for you on the wiki)

Status of Proposal

The group reviewed the original proposal and feels that we have met the main goals of the project.  Therefore, I'm considering this project closed and will email Ron the have the remaining funds returned.  Timmo's role will remain funded through AT and they are limited to:  facilitating community , 2)  general consultation on uses of LessonShare.

Next meeting

Moving to Drupal 6 issues -- set up a technical group meeting - beginning of January.
