• Help Group Captains build community
• Help Group Captains increase the relevance of their group to ComETS members

Process:

Set up f2f meetings with each Group Captain to discuss the following questions

• What are your goals for your group this year?
• If you don't have an event on the calendar already, would you like to organize an informal event to bring people together around your topic?
• What does every member of ComETS need to know about your topic? your community?
• How can we help get the word out about your community?
• As Group Captain, would you be willing to use the site to bring in resources, events, and information about your topic? Are there others in your community that might also want to take on this role?
• How can we help spark a discussion around your topic among ComETS members this year?

Go through basic site features:

• Posting events, meetings, wiki pages, blog posts, "shares" - What is the purpose of each of these? How can I use them to build knowledge and community around my topic?
• Group features -
• public/private posts
• How to edit mission statement....

What does success look like?

• Increase in number of posts in communities (currently 66 posts in 7 communities)
• Increase in number of events sponsored by each community
