NMC Sessions Attended
eTEACH: Creating Dynamic and Engaging Multimedia (Lead by: Blaire and Josh)
This workshop was a spectacular opportunity for us to try out eTEACH on a broader audience and see how they would react to it. Overall, the reactions were extremely positive.

The format of the workshop broke down into Blaire doing a general overview of some eTEACH features and discussing why it is important for media accessiblity during the first half. The second half was a hands-on portion lead mostly by Josh where the participants were able to "get their hands dirty" with eTEACH.
Because this is a public page, I will not list the participants by name, but I would like to discuss some of their reactions. One of the participants has a career focused on media accessibility and was extremely passionate about the possiblities of what eTEACH could bring to this community. She provided us with many connections to the accessibility community and offered to have one of her students video recorded using accessibility features within eTEACH.
Another of our participants was more tech-savvy and as a result asked more technical questions regarding how eTEACH connects to a server hosted at UW-Madison to do the conversion of PowerPoint into JPGs and accessible text....
