Ollendyke

I'm going to try to check out the Wed. afternoon sessions and may catch the Thursday morning sessions as well. Thanks for putting this together, John!

UW Campus Landscape

Attendees: Doug Worsham (Learning Support Services), John Thomson (Academic Technology), Lauren Shawl (School of Pharmacy), Richard Path (Institute for Clinical & Translational Research), Robert Moldenhauer (Genetics), Clint Thayer (Department of Medicine), Bryan Ollendyke (Penn State University College of Arts & Architecture)

A couple of common challenges were identified amongst UW campus developers:

  • Repeating calendar events
  • How to sync or manage production / dev / testing servers?
    • subsites as development environments
    • backup and migrate
    • organic groups (a challenge is that system-wide OG settings can't be changed on a subsite level)
