Learning Spaces Community Meeting
The ComETS Learning Spaces Community will meet on Monday, October 26 from 11:30-1:00 in room 2257 College. The agenda for this meeting will include:
Sandee Seiberlich will present slides of innovative learning spaces from her Flickr site.
Dave Luke will provide a tour of some learning spaces in College Library.
Drafting questions for a survey on learning spaces:
1. Your name
2. Department
3. The areas/classrooms that you are representing in this survey. (E.g. All classrooms in the Teacher Education Building at this address.)
4) Do you have a standard setup for classroom technology and what does it include: projectors, screens, flat panel displays, computer with Internet access, document camera, student response systems, interactive pen displays or white boards, sound systems? Other technology?
5) Do you outfit all rooms? What %?
6) If you do not outfit the room in your department/building, who does? Please provide name or departmental contact if possible.
7) What is the refresh cycle on equipment?
8) Who supports the equipment and provides "how-to" training for its use - computer services, library, media services, etc.?
9). Is there a different unit that provides training for teaching using the equipment?
10) Do you have a way to remotely monitor/service rooms? Security cameras? Software solutions to monitor usage/bulb life, turn off equipment, etc.?
11) How do instructors communicate the need for service in a room? Telephone, work order/ticket system?
